In the spring, the  countryside is rich with a colorful and fragrant tapestry of blooming dogwoods, azaleas, roses, and myriads of wildflowers. In the fall, it is ripe with the golds, scarlets, nut browns, and velvet greens of an endless  variety of East Texas trees, including oak, dogood, pecan, pine, sweetgum and sycamore.
